How to get to Strömsö by boat
Approaching from the east, take the 5.5-metre inland fairway through Barösund strait and continue for approximately 2 nm after the end of the speed limit until you arrive to Strömsö on the north side of the fairway. Steer into Strömsö harbour going either east or west round Flakholmen. The depth on the approach and by the pier is sufficient for even large boats.
Approaching from the east, you also have the option to take the southern 3.7-metre so-called Olympic fairway until it crosses the 5.5-metre inland fairway. At the crossing, turn east and steer into Strömsö harbour going either east or west round Flakholmen. The depth on the approach and by the pier is sufficient for even large boats.
Approaching from the west along the 3.0-metre inland fairway passing Tammisaari, continue until the end of the fairway where it turns south after Sandnäsudd and crosses the 5.5-metre fairway. Continue along the 5.5-metre fairway east and steer into Strömsö harbour going either east or west round Flakholmen. The depth on the approach and by the pier is sufficient for even large boats.
If you approach from the west taking the 5.5-metre fairway, pass the crossing of the 3.0 and 3.7-metre fairways, which leaves Strömsö north of the fairway. Steer into Strömsö harbour going either east or west round Flakholmen. The depth on the approach and by the pier is sufficient for even large boats.
